Working with child sexual abuse is complex for professionals as this type of abuse takes place in a world of secrecy. In practice it can be hard to know how to help and support children who may be and are being sexually abused. The material used in this course will support practitioners working with this complexity and help them think and plan how to support children and young people. The subject of child sexual abuse is sensitive and can be upsetting. The material used in the training will reflects this. This will not be a basic course on working with CSA but will consider the complexity of working with children and YP, the role of the perpetrator and working with mothers who may have difficulty in accepting and believing the abuse.Essential Information
