This event is for Designated Teachers for Looked After Children, Safeguarding Leads in primary, secondary and special schools
Focus will be:-
• Trauma informed schools practice – exploring how schools are meeting the needs of vulnerable learners
• Children in Need pilot – update on 1 year pilot project aimed at narrowing the gap for children in need
• Recovery from Covid – exploring what the impact may have been for looked after children and what support schools can access to progress forward
• Personal Education Plans – sharing of information required to inform meetings
It only takes a few hours to learn how to use Mind Of My Own apps effectively in your practice.
The MOMO apps will be for all children across safeguarding and children looked after. Its an app based communication tool to enable the voice of the child to be heard and recorded. It’s a great way for children to communicate into key meetings too.
Mind Of My Own apps makes the process easier, quicker and more engaging.
Mind Of My Own apps save you time by creating a clear statement of the young person’s views that’s easy for you and others to understand. You can attach these statements to their case file instead of spending time writing up what they said.
The experience of using Mind Of My Own apps with you will give your young people more confidence to speak up, attend meetings and articulate problems.
There are two features – the One app and Express.
The One app helps young people communicate their views in a way that suits them. Young people create an account on the One app and once signed up, they can use it on their own anytime, 24/7. The One app helps young people prepare for any upcoming meetings they have, report problems, share good news, and more!
Express is an accessible app for younger children and those with additional needs to express their views. As a worker, you can create a one page profile in minutes!
For security reasons your session is about to expire. You will be automatically signed out in
