Code: SC/20/0138 Developing Together - Social Work Teaching Partnership - BLM and the Voice of Social Work - Discussion Groups

The Teaching Partnership Team have recently co-facilitated a number of ‘BLM & the Voice of Social Work’ discussion groups. After reviewing the feedback from the first 3 groups, and putting a call out for more volunteers to lead on these, we have identified dates for 3 future groups.
An article, piece of research, image or video will be shared and the session will be an opportunity to discuss this as a group. Constructive feedback and themes emerging from the discussion will be shared with senior management across the Partnership.

Code: SC/21/0171 MRC event - Webinar Series: Building Effective Relationships With Families: Promoting Ethical and Humane Practice in Children’s Services (Various dates) - MRC@kcl.ac.uk

5 places remaining

This four webinar programme seeks to explore the process of relationship building in work with children,
young people and their families. The quality of the relationship is consistently identified as a key feature of
the quality of both the practice and whether positive outcomes are achieved. Nevertheless, relationship
building in the context of children’s social care can be complex, emotive and demanding.
These webinars will, drawing on both current and seminal research, look at some of the complexities of relationship
building. They will highlight the importance of self awareness, features of good practice, the pitfalls and
traps we can fall into, and how these can be avoided.
